So, the new EP is out today and I thought I might tell you a little bit about it.

If you’d like to download it straight to your iDevice, you can get it from iTunes here, where it’ll be £2.49 for the whole EP or 99p per song. I think the cost of the individual songs is a little steep, but, bizarrely, it was the only way Tunecore (the company that puts my songs on iTunes) would allow me to charge less for the EP as a whole.

You can also get it for £2 from my website. OR, and I think this is better, you can pay £3 (+P&P) to buy a physical copy of the CD and get a FREE immediate download of it too AND a fridge magnet or badge. It’s easy as pie to purchase from the website - it uses PayPal (but you don’t have to have a PayPal account) and is all very straight forward.

Obviously I hope you’ll buy it and enjoy it, but more than that, I hope you’ll tell others about it - it’s the best way to support independent music. There’s a “share/embed” button on my website that allows you to easily share the tracks via facebook and twitter, or you can embed them on your blog. Feel free to do so.

Actually, I’d let you have the EP for free if I wasn’t trying to fund the next one, and that’s why, on my website, you have the option to pay more for it if you’d like to. Any money I make from this EP will go directly towards funding the next. I’d need to sell roughly 1000 copies to get enough money to do another, so that’s the goal.

Finally, I’ve got my first London gig for a while coming up on October the 13th at the Gallery Cafe in Bethnal Green. Perhaps I’ll see you then.

When the weather gets hot, my friends and I sometimes go swimming in a small stretch of river we unimaginatively refer to as ‘The Secret Spot.’ And without wishing to sound like too much of a nob, such is the nature of its secrecy that I can’t tell you where it is for fear it should become any less so.

So there’s that.

There’s also the fact that, after a period of fairly long musical inactivity, I’ve got a new EP coming out on the 17th of September and I wanted to let people know about it.

So, in the late afternoon of Wednesday the 22nd of August, when it was a little cooler than it had been the weekend before, two of my favourite people and I floated down a river on a punctured lilo with a can of lemonade each and my waterproof video camera. I cobbled the footage together and the result became the music video for ‘Where To Begin’ - the second track from my new EP, ‘We Meet At Dawn.’

At the time of writing, it has had nearly 500 views. I’m delighted and want to thank anyone who has already watched it, but particularly those who have shared it with others. My thanks, and I hope you’ll enjoy the EP when it’s out.
